Lecture Presentations

IUS will take place as a hybrid conference. The conference organizers have opted for a format where in each session, in-person presentations will be combined with synchronous virtual presentations, all being streamed online in real time through the CONFlux Hybrid Platform. ALL lecture presenters will be required to submit a pre-recorded video, whether you are attending virtually or in-person.

Prerecorded versions of all presentations will be available asynchronously, starting at least 2 days prior to the conference and for at least 4 weeks after the conference closes. Oral presentations will be live-streamed via Zoom during scheduled talk times with live question-and-answer sessions.

In person presenters will be expected to present live. Virtual presenters are encouraged to present live, but the pre-recorded video may be used as a backup in case of technical issues.

Our recommended approach to record a compatible video from content displayed on your computer screen and voice recorded via the computer microphone, is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries.

Instructions for recording your presentation with Zoom:

For authors who are unable to access Zoom, you may use the free software OBS, which also allows the simultaneous recording of the speaker and slides:

The video submission deadline will be  September 5 for INVITED presentations and September 12 for regular lecture presentations. This is a HARD DEADLINE. There is an earlier deadline for invited talks because we will be providing subtitles for these presentations and it will take additional time to verify the quality.

Guidelines for preparing your video:
Time Limit: 12 minutes for regular lecture presentations, 25 minutes for invited lecture presentations
File size: 300MB max
Video file format: mp4
Dimensions: Minimum height 720 pixels, aspect ratio: 16:9

Submission links will be provided in August for you to upload your video. You will also have the option to upload your presentation slides for posting on the virtual platform.

Please be sure the video includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to 2022 IUS.

Poster Presentations

IUS will take place as a hybrid conference. The conference organizers have opted for a format where each poster presenter will submit a pre-recorded video presentation along with their poster, which will be available during the original dates of the conference through the CONFlux Hybrid Platform.

There will be an onsite poster session, so in-person presenters should plan to print and bring their poster onsite. The organizers will print out virtual posters so that they are also available onsite.

We request that you prepare and upload a 3–5-minute overview video of your poster presentation, comprised of a brief introduction with webcam, if desired, followed by voice over slides for your presentation. This will be posted within your presentation time slot on the 2022 IUS Hybrid Platform.

Our recommended approach to record a compatible video from content displayed on your computer screen and voice recorded via the computer microphone, is to record the presentation using Zoom, available to users on most platforms and in most countries.

In order for videos to be verified by the technical program committee, we ask you that you please finalize and upload online your video no later than September 12. This is a HARD DEADLINE. Presentations will not be accepted after this date.

Guidelines for preparing your video:
Duration (poster presentations): 3 minutes minimum, 5 minutes maximum
File size: 300MB max
Video file format: mp4
Dimensions: Minimum height 720 pixels, aspect ratio: 16:9

In addition to your video, we also request the PDF version of your poster is uploaded at the same time. If you are presenting your poster virtually, IUS will print your poster for display onsite.

Submission links will be provided in August for you to upload your video and poster.

Challenge Posters

The accepted Ultra-SR Challenge posters will be e-posters only and will not need to prepare a printed poster. The challenge finalists will be informed in September and invited to give an oral presentation at the Challenge Special Session during the conference. Further instructions will be sent and please contact the organizers ([email protected]) for any questions.

Please be sure the video includes the title of the paper, the authors, and a mention to 2022 IUS. We are looking forward to accommodating all attendees who are presenting at IUS 2022, both in-person and remotely. Please contact Brianna Orr if you have any questions.
