Daeho Kim received the B.S. (1997) in physics education, the M.S. (1999), and the Ph.D. in physics from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. He became a postdoctoral researcher at Seoul National University studying ferroelectricity and magnetism in epitaxial thin films of transition metal oxides. From 2004, he continued relate research in Oak Ridge National Laboratory at Oak Ridge, TN as a postdoctoral research scholar. In 2008, he moved to Tulane University at New Orleans, LA as an assistant professor and lead research on epitaxial nanocomposite thin films for multiferroic device applications. In 2012, he joined Samsung Electro-Mechanics at Suwon, Korea developing bulk acoustic wave (BAW) resonators using piezoelectric AlN films for RF filters. From 2017, he is working at Akoustis Inc. at Huntersville, NC and helped developing high coupling coefficient BAW resonators with novel material for wider band width applications in 5G and Wi-Fi 6E.
