Giulia Matrone is currently an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering, University of Pavia, Pavia, Italy. She received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees (both cum laude) in Biomedical Engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from the University of Pavia, in 2006, 2008 and 2012, respectively. Her research interests include ultrasound medical imaging and signal processing, beamforming and image formation techniques, ultrasound simulation, elastography, and microwave imaging for biomedical applications. She is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Access and member of the IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium Technical Program Committee.
